Aistear is the curriculum framework for children from birth to six years in Ireland. It celebrates early childhood as a time of enjoying and learning from experiences, through discussion, exploration and play.
The framework presents children’s learning and development using four interconnected themes to describe the content of children’s learning and development: Well-being, Identity and Belonging, Communicating and Exploring and Thinking.
