Sandy Shore is a fictional town where Nibbler, a little mouse, lives. He is an adventurous little mouse with lots of friends. Pupils meet him, and fall in love with him, through the 8 themed big books in Aistear by eduhub.
Nibbler meets a lot of characters such as Eleanor the Elephant, Captain Blackjack Mc Gee, Ben from a nearby farm, Firefighter Fionn, Postman Paddy and many more.
Nibbler’s Aistear Adventures also provides a puppet of Nibbler, so pupils can practice and reinforce the conversations that are modelled in the stories as Nibbler meets different characters. This helps pupils conversational skills during socio-dramatic play and small world etc.
